Burlesque Le'Moustache ....

Tattoos, mutation, miscreation and a bittersweet lust for life brought this rag tag team of outcasts together to form the monstrosity that is 'CABARET LE FREAK'!!!

Our lineup includes; a vaudeville style comedy MC duo, our amazing house band The Hot Club Of Davenport, and many scantily clad uber talented dancing darlings (the Tattooed Lady, Snake Girl, and the Mermaid just to name a few!). Along with promises to serve up plenty of sparkle and take you away to a time where women were real, silicone was unheard of and the "tease" was the act!

What is Burlesque?

Put simply, burlesque means "in an upside down style". Like its cousin, commedia dell'arte, burlesque turns social norms head over heels. Burlesque is a style of live entertainment that encompasses pastiche, parody, and wit. The genre traditionally encompasses a variety of acts such as dancing girls, chanson singers, comedians, mime artists, and striptease artistes, all satirical and with a saucy edge. The striptease element of burlesque became subject to local legislation, leading since to a theatrical form that titillates without falling foul of the censors.

The Capitol Theatre is pleased to bring this delightful form of vintage MATURE entertainment to the QC.  Take a small step on the wild side and enjoy a Spring full of fun with the women (and men) of Burlesque Le' Moustache.
